Three steps. The deadline is 11:59pm on Saturday 31 October 2026.

Apply through Newcastle City Council by 11:59pm on Saturday 31 October 2026. If you live outside Newcastle, apply through your own council.
Name Benfield
Name Benfield School as a preference. Put us first if we are your first choice. You will hear on 1 March 2027.
Questions about the Benfield School prospectus
Can I get a printed copy of the prospectus?
Yes. We don’t keep printed copies to cut down on paper, but we’re happy to print one for you. Call 0191 265 6091 or email adminbenfield@neat.org.uk and we’ll have it ready to collect from reception on Benfield Road. If you need it in another format, tell us what you need.
Can I look round before I apply?
Yes. Call 0191 265 6091 to book a visit during the school day. Seeing a normal day is the best way to judge any school. We are also hosting open mornings on Wednesday 14th and 21st October. To book a place, call the school office.
When is the deadline to apply for Year 7?
Apply through Newcastle City Council by 11:59pm on Saturday 31 October 2026. Offers are made on 1 March 2027.
