Providers
At Benfield School, we welcome opportunities to collaborate with external organisations and provide opportunities that inspire pupils through real-life contact. We aim to equip our students with the knowledge to make informed choices about their career goals and the education pathways available to them (including further and higher education, technical education qualifications, and apprenticeships).
As part of our careers programme, all pupils in years 7 to 11 at Benfield School are entitled to:
- Find out about technical education qualifications and apprenticeship opportunities, which provide information on the full range of education and training options available at each transition point.
- Hear from a range of local providers about the opportunities they offer in education, training and employment, e.g., through activities and events such as options events, assemblies, and taster activities.
- Understand how to make applications for the full range of academic and technical courses.
Personal Development and Careers run as a golden thread through our curriculum and everyday school life. Our careers education is closely aligned with Benfield’s Personal Development offer, building the knowledge, skills and behaviours our young people need to thrive. Through experiences that go beyond the classroom, we support pupils to grow in confidence, broaden their aspirations and make informed decisions about their futures.
If you would like to discuss how your organisation can contribute to our Careers or wider Personal Development offer, please contact Ms N Nelson (Careers Lead) for more information and upcoming opportunities.
To learn more about our school’s arrangements for managing the access of education and training provider to pupils for the purpose of sharing information about their offer, please see our Provider Access Statement (compliant with Section 42B of the Education Act 1997)
